India under Modi - 2022
Continuing my research using the Chakra Dasa for Mundane matters, I am writing this brief post to talk about India in 2022 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi using the swearing-in chart from May 2019.

During the year 2022, the major Chakra Dasa periods are Libra and Scorpio. Libra is the 12th house of the swearing-in chart and Scorpio is the 1st house of the swearing-in chart. Libra period is through most of the first half of 2022 while Scorpio is through the second half of 2022. There will be a lot of revelations about important people in the country and many things that did not see the light of the day will be in limelight.
For the first half starting from Janurary 25, 2022, India will be living through the major period of Libra ruled by Venus. Libra is the 12th house and it refers to uncertainities, hospitalization, hidden challenges, war tensions, financial loss, etc. With new variants of Covid-19 making their way into the human setup, we don't need astrology to understand that the new variant is going to jolt India during the first half of 2022 but the good thing is, the Sun is placed in the 7th house of Taurus and it looks like government will control the threat of death and destruction in large scale. However, the fact that the new variants will contnue bother Indians is not going to change. There will be further loss of life and people will be hospitalized. Vulnerability to Covid is surely not to be taken for granted because health issues are the major theme of the first half of the year.
With the ruler of Libra, Venus placed in the 6th house of Aries in sextile reception with Mars indicates that there will be vaccine boosters and treatment available for people anyway. The Moon in the 5th house of Pisces is received by Jupiter in the 1st house of Scorpio. The Moon refers to the people of the nation and Jupiter aspect is hopefully a saviour here.
Economy
There will be financial loss to the government yet again because of Covid without any doubt and India's economy will continue to be in distress. With the ruler of the 11th house placed in the 6th house of Aries, it is difficult for the government to make more money. In fact, because of the pandemic, the government is only going to spend more money for medical purposes to save its people.
India's inflation rate alarmingly rose from 4.76% in 2019 to 6.18% in 2020. In 2021, as of October, the inflation rate was at around 4.48% which is a considerbale amount of fall. In 2022, because of the 2nd/8th axis, inflation will be on the higher side. Indian people will continue to reel because of higher fuel prices especially considering the 8th house which hosts Rahu and Mars. With no benefic connection, we can only expect the fuel prices to rise. With rising fuel prices, it is difficult to control inflation because all the other consumer products are indirectly related to the fuel prices at the courtesy of transportation.

The Moon in Pisces enjoying Jupiter's reception won't be bring much improvement to the unemployment rate because of its placement in Saturn's bound and the Saturn-Mars aspect. People of India will remain the way they are: in distress due to factors like unemployment, inflation and less purchasing power of the lower or middle income people. With Venus in the 6th house, India macro economic policies will continued to be crticized by economists across the world. In reality, Indian economy has only dipped sine Modi took over and it is about to continue in 2022. Financial policies in 2022 will continue to dissatisfy the people of India and it not going to improve in 2022 because of the afflicted 2nd house. There will be a section of the society that will be happy. Some policy change related to insurance might get the people very unhappy and insecured.
National Security
India has always viewed Pakistan and China as major security threats and Modi was adamant and bold in taking an opposing stance to show that India is ready for military action (not necessarily an open war). Balakot attack was one such instance where Modi decided enough is enough. This action was not welcomed internationally but only the people of Idnia know the level of vulnerability and loss of calm Indians have had regarding national security issues over the years. Since 2014, Modi has been inviting Pakistan for peace talks provided they gave up their support to extremism and violence. It is very difficult to establish any sort of cordial relationship with China under anyone's regime because of their unreliability as a neighbour. No one knows how on earth would China claim Arunachal Pradesh as their land. It is nothing but atrocious tresspassing. The situation is not so different in Ladakh. Modi has tightened its stance to oppose any tresspassing which is annoying China. India will continue to improve its defence therby enhancing national security. With the Nodes in 2/8 axis, there will certainly be some threat but India will continue to keep those forces at bay. Moreover, Jupiter is in the 1st house and India will continue to save its face in any kind of a tricky situation. Anyhow, the condition is unlikely to improve and the tensions will remain throughout this year across the sensitive borders.
International Relations
Ever since Modi assumed the office of the Prime Minister of India, international relations rose to a new level which was never the case before. India has continued to strengthen its relations with its military and strategic partner Russia. Russia and China are united in one front which is to oppose the west. Despite China's concern about Russia developing their relations with India, Russia has made it clear to the world that India is an important strategic partner with its continued ties with India. With the 10th ruler Mercury in the 7th house along with the Sun, it becomes evident that this year is going to be an important year in furthering the international relations. With the 7th house being opposite from the Ascendant, we can come to a conclusion that India will establish better relationship with the western countries.
It is not easy to run a goverment and India under Modi in 2022 will have its share of challenges.
