I was born and brought up in Chennai, India. I received Bachelors of Commerce degree in 2009, Master of Business Administration in Finance in 2011 and Master of Arts in Labour Management in 2018. Since October 2011, I have been working in the financial services industry.
Every art and investigation, and likewise every practical pursuit or undertaking, seems to aim at some good: hence it has been well said that the good is that at which all things aim. (The Nicomachean Ethics by Aristotle). The philosophy behind the sentence is, Aristotle says that we all involve in some action with an aim to do good. The idea of good, however, may be objectively personal, good is what it is! I do astrology with an aim to do good to anyone that requires my help in decoding the cosmic language which contains answers to various riddles of life.
Hailing from a family of astrologers, my foray into astrology was not by choice but destiny. Naturally my foundation was Jyotisa supported by some family methods that I hope finetunes my abuility to forecast or predict. I got hooked to Hellenistic and Medieval Persian astrology in 2017. Since then, my practice and research has been a blend of all three forms of ancient traditions. Initially, I learnt astrology from my maternal grandfather Shri. G. Gurumoorthy Iyer who carefully guided me through the art by teaching me many nuances that helped me do my own work with predictive astrology.
Since my active entry into the astrological community in 2017, I have been supported and helped by some really good people who have only made me a better astrologer and a human being. I am always grateful to them.
Along with The Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads, I am also slowly exploring the works of some Greek philosophers, which helps me realize that life was always looked as the same by everyone but from different perspectives. Understanding the philosophical underpinnings of various astrological traditions only enriches my understanding of astrology and the tradition itself!
Writing, Learning & Sharing
In March 2021, I published a book called Firdaria - Periods of Life. My course on Firdaria is a good companion to the book. In December 2021, Astrology by Moonlight (co-authored with Tara Aal) was published followed by rave reviews from the astrological community. I am currently working on two other books. One is based on the forgotten Indian sign based Dasa system called Chakra Daśā. The other one is a book on Annual Predictive Methods by bringing the techniques of the Greeks, Arabs and the Indians together. I have no information on when I will get these books out.
I have always been open to share whatever I know across various social media platforms. I have also conducted many interviews (written and verbal) with scholars of east and west to spread the knowledge and history of astrology seamlessly. I use my blog page to post some of the research articles that I write from time to time. Apart from this, I answer various astrological questions on Quora.
As an astrologer, I continue to learn and share through various technological mediums in this post-modern era. If you want me to present lectures/talks for any groups, or any discussions, please reach out to me by writing an email to email@example.com.
