Why this Jyotisa Course?
For me, the Nakshatras have always been the living heart of Jyotisa. They are where astrology stops being abstract and becomes deeply human. The earliest hymns of the Rig Veda do not name the Nakshatras directly, but they sing to the deities later associated with them. By returning to those hymns, I found a way to understand the Nakshatras in their most authentic voice, not as a list of keywords, but as presences that help us understand life. In India, it is the Moon’s Nakshatra that has always held special importance. From the Moon’s placement we see a person’s nature, the patterns of their mind, and the unfolding of their life through the great dasa systems. The Moon’s Nakshatra is where astrology becomes most immediate and intimate, showing not only how life is timed, but how it is lived and felt. This 5-week course is my most personal offering. It carries the wisdom of my family’s 350-year astrological lineage, in addition to my own of the Indian astrological tradition.
