Saturn and Mercury are now turning direct, unlocking a significant period of growth and progress that has been delayed for a long time. Saturn’s journey is longer and more profound, so I’m preparing a dedicated file for you which will be available in about three weeks.
Before the Full Moon in Taurus, we stand at a pivotal moment when two planets stationing direct to set the stage for symbolic movement forward, further triggered by the Moon's culmination in Taurus. Until the lunation, the Moon will continue to brighten naturally, fueling momentum as Mercury in late Libra prepares to power through Scorpio during its pro-grade phase.
Saturn’s direct motion will help us embrace the structures slowly disintegrating around us and this is something we’ll now feel more intensely than in the past 7-8 months. By May 2027, when Saturn exits Pisces, what remains will be precisely what we were meant to have. Each lunar cycle brings progress, and this Moon’s culmination coming close with the direct stations of both Saturn and Mercury offers sharp clarity about our future path. It also presents a powerful chance to make timely, impactful changes that act as catalysts, channelising our energy toward the right direction.

The Full Moon in Taurus indicates potential growth or major shifts in family and financial matters. Our self-worth will be strongly emphasized, yet challenges and tough choices will have to be made because the Moon falls in an exact square aspect to the lunar nodes creating a major internal imbalance. This tension may lead to deep personal transformations that bring greater clarity, while simultaneously pushing us toward desires rather than essential needs.
Navigating desires and avoiding impulsive buying will be a key challenge. If you're an astrologer, you might have postponed a purchase during Mercury retrograde, and this planetary shift could now spark a desire to buy. The lunar nodes suggest it's worth reconsidering the decision and perhaps it is impulsive. While we all sometimes fall into such thoughts, I typically delay purchases and wait a few weeks to see if the urge persists. I also assess whether the purchase truly enhances my life; if not, I simply postpone it and watch for the idea to return. In doing so, we can avoid impulsive decisions by taking a thoughtful pause.
This could be a good period to rethink about savings or financial aspects by forming or reforming strategies around the management of financial resources within the family. It will be ideal to think about saving in a safe area for those who think they are on a spending spree. We all have some discrepancies or challenges within the family. Planetary transits often provide us opportunities or windows to bring back things to alignment within the family and this is one such phase where we can get things sorted.
As the Moon in Taurus brings emotional themes of stability, security, and comfort to the forefront, we’ll be diving deep into the origins of our values; particularly how we see ourselves within our families and our financial lives. With the Moon active, this is a period for deep self-reflection, and with Mars in opposition (which will perfect within a day of the full moon), we’ll also face challenges in how others perceive us. Saturn’s sextile aspect to the full moon offers a chance to rebuild boundaries more confidently by properly recognizing and honouring ourselves; whether it's our abilities, skills, or time because if we don’t value ourselves, no one else will.
This isn't merely about finances or family relationships but it is about the emotional security we've either maintained over time or neglected while pursuing our goals. With Saturn now direct and Venus, the ruler of the lunation in Scorpio, intense emotional choices will arise, prompting swift and decisive actions, especially when something disrupts our inner peace. If we're clinging to old patterns or burdened by outdated or unnecessary responsibilities, we'll begin to let go of them and this transformation is indicated by the lunar nodes, which tightly constrain the Moon by forming a square with it.
Following a long phase of chaos, things are now beginning to stabilise, and we're at a crucial point where intentionality is essential. While the full moon indicates ongoing efforts, shortly thereafter, we enter a phase of tangible progress. The full moon in the bending precisely aligns with what we needed; which is to take a decisive step forward, as we're now both physically and emotionally prepared to act with clarity and purpose. This is the realisation point for us to know that abundance doesn't come from outside, but it comes from inside. This realisation comes after an intensified inner conflict fuelled by the opposition with Mars and the square aspect with the lunar nodes.
The nodes symbolise the things we must let go of to embrace new growth and the knowledge we must discard to gain new understanding or awareness. This moment of tension occurs during or shortly after the full moon and is crucial for a significant shift in our psychological framework helping us recognize the need to balance the familiar with the unfamiliar. The friction may appear as anxiety, resistance, or guilt, especially when choices feel like betrayals. Yet, it is essential to move forward, as this struggle is an inherent and necessary part of the transformation.
In the battlefield, Arjuna questions why he should be the one to strike down the key members of the Kauravas who are also his family, and he hesitates because he must confront his own elders, including his mentor Dronacharya. He says it is not ethical to wage a war against those to whom he is bound by affection and duty. Krishna responds that Arjuna must perform the duty that life has placed before him, and that refusing to act would violate his dharma and disturb the larger order he is meant to uphold. Just like Arjuna, we stand at the crossroads where we must do what we have to do, and there's no reason to delay or hesitate.
If we put things into perspective: A parent may find themselves caught in between financial pressures and their child's aspirations, requiring a careful balance to determine what's achievable. A partner might face a similar tension between desiring a stable, grounded life and craving personal and creative independence. These aren't merely practical dilemmas; they are deep, soul-level questions that demand honest reflection and may prove difficult to resolve decisively.
Yet, this turbulence can also be seen as a powerful opportunity. As a father, I often reflect: whenever we earn money, someone may take it; when we buy property, someone might seize it; when we build wealth, we remain exposed to loss. But knowledge; true education offers protection from theft, and though it comes with some hardship, it is the most valuable asset. I find myself in a situation where I need to be decisive. My son’s current school is relocating to a much farther location, forcing us to find a new one that’s still a bit farther than the current one. He’s accepted into the school, but the transportation options are limited; meaning he’ll have to leave home at 7:00 AM and return around 5:00 PM, a 11-hour day that leaves an 8-year-old too exhausted for the rest of the day. As an alternative, if I drop him off and pick him up each day, we end up saving about two hours. We’re registering for the 2026 cycle next week, around the full moon and I decided that I will drop my son on a daily basis. This is a small personal reflection, and I hope it helps you understand the nature of this upcoming lunation.
This Full Moon in Taurus is not about avoiding change but it is about embracing it with awareness. It is necessary for us to assess value in everything and the value is not always tangible. The value of dropping off my son and picking him up each day is the extra time I get to spend with him. Our choices during this fortnight might mark the foundation for deeper emotional resilience, authentic relationships, and a more grounded sense of self that carries us into 2026.
